When we know what’s happening in our community, we feel more connected, more supported, and more at home — The Danbury Post provides local news without the noise.
Local news is more fractured than ever, and community social media pages tend to be awash with lost cats, neighbourly complaints and planning permission issues. Whilst those topics certainly have a place, it makes it harder to get accurate information and unbiased opinions.
On top of this, certain social media algorithms ensure that we only see what it wants us to see, so some topics get missed entirely. In an age of misinformation local news is especially powerful. It makes us feel more informed, connected and involved in our wonderful community.
As someone who’s proudly called Danbury home for years, I’m endlessly curious about the stories, people and places that make our villages special. This hub for local news will allow you to see what’s really going on each week, find a great spot for lunch and highlight local events.
If you subscribe, a free round-up of local news will land in your inbox every Wednesday and Saturday morning at 7am.
Thanks for reading and please do share The Danbury Post with your friends and neighbours.
